Endurance Sponsors Bermuda National Gallery's Winter Exhibition

Endurance Specialty Insurance Ltd. has continued its support of the Bermuda National Gallery (BNG) by once again sponsoring the museum’s Winter Exhibition. David Cash, President of Endurance Specialty Insurance Ltd. said: “Endurance is pleased to continue our sponsorship of the annual Winter Exhibitions. This is the fifth consecutive year that Endurance has supported the Bermuda National Gallery and once again we are very excited to be a supporter of the exhibits that will be on show. The exhibitions represent a terrific mix of international and local art and should be particularly appealing to young Bermudians. We hope that everyone will take the time to visit the gallery and to enjoy the collections and the individual works of art.”

The exhibits open on February 1, and run until April 3, 2009. This winter, for the first time in its history, the BNG will showcase an exhibit on motorcycles. Changing Gears: The Art of the Bermuda Motorcycle will showcase an art form that functions both as a rite of passage and a vehicle of personal expression. Also on exhibition: African Art in Motion- a celebration of objects from nine West African nations which have been brought to life with photographs, filmed ceremonies, and music; Contemporary Voices: Kevin Morris - a mid-career review of a talented Bermudian artist; and The History of Art in Bermuda: A Focus on Photography.
